Our Biggest Adventure One Year Later

One year ago today my husband Todd and I were in Ethiopia to pick up our son Vander. It has been our greatest and most fulfilling adventure. He has brought such joy to our home, and made us a family. The comment Todd and I hear the most is, “Vander is so lucky to be adopted by you two.” But really we are

the lucky ones, and everyday he gives us so much love, I am reminded of how absurdly fortunate we are. Now, that we have become parents it is a gift we share with

each other, and give unconditionally to our little guy. Vander thank you so much for being in our lives. We love you, SOOOO MUCH!!!
Vander is quite the talker these days; you would never know English isn’t his first language. He is the most athletic child; I’ve also had to become a long distance runner to catch him. He loves to paint, sing, dance and run, run, run.
So hard to believe that a full year has gone by since I held you in my arms for the very first time!
