Here is where I spend a lot of my time. A few years ago my husband Todd built my studio in the basement of our house, and I am so happy with it. He really did a wonderful job. I’m lucky enough to have a garden level basement, so I get plenty of natural light. Every year the studio gets better and better; last year for Christmas, he put in ceiling speakers.

The ceramic big brain is made by Tom Binger, I love it.  What you can’t see in the picture is it also rotates. No can accuse me of not having a brain.  The brightly colored painting of the dog and rooster is done by Pip Brant.  The Warhol and Mondrian art words was a fund raiser for our schools art club.  It really makes me happy to be surrounded by things I love.  Some of the other artwork, I am drawing a blank of the names of the artists.  (sorry!)

I hope you enjoyed the tour.

Hi Connie, what a great studio, and wonderful wall color and the artwork really makes it pop.

What a cool space! I just love your wall color and art. My husband designed and built our studios in our daylight basement too…I’m thankful for the light, space and storage areas every day.

Hi Linda, Thanks I love my studio. But my studio is nothing like yours, always new scenery, new friends, so much freedom.

Michelle, I am very lucky. After years of just fitting into existing spaces, I finally got to design a studio that fit me. I love having tons of art in my studio and want to make it a fun and inviting place. Do you have pictures of your studio on your blog?
