Congratulations to Handmade For Japan!

Incredible! Congratulations to Handmade for Japan raised a massive $75,757.55!!!!  Thank you to Ayumi, Kathryn and Ai for all their unbelievable efforts for the people of Japan.  I am so thankful for astounding human beings like them.  If we could live up to their standards of generosity and drive the world would be a better place.

Thank you so much Ayumi, Kathryn and Ai, for including my artwork.   I was thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of something sooooo big.

Handmade for Japan got some amazing press while they were gearing up for the auction here is the links to the articles; The New York Times, Huffington Post, American Craft, and The Japan Times.   All proceeds of the auction is going to Global Giving.

If you missed the auction or just want to donate to help Japan, go to Global Giving’s website and they are set up with a donation button.

I am working very hard for my show at Plinth Gallery in May.  I’m very excited and nervous for it.  This is my first solo show in two years.  I took a break because of the adoption of our son.  But I want to announce that;  a portion of my Gallery sales made during  exhibition will be donated to The Mashiko Potter’s Fund, to assist ceramic artists in the Mashiko region of Japan who have been impacted by the recent earthquake.

take a road trip

The next show at Plinth Gallery is Yoko Sekino-Bove and she is also donating part of her Gallery Sales to The Mashiko Potter’s Fund.  She also had two very beautiful teapots in Handmade For Japan, that had many many bids.
