Work in Progress: The DIA Commission

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Here is work in progress on  my Denver International Airport commission.  I’m making 29 pots for DIA  to give to the Mayor of Takayama, and officials who work for an airport In Takayama, Japan.  I have to  make all these pieces in six short weeks.  The text that is going on them is; Denver -  Takayama 50th Anniversary and Ascent to Asia, Denver – Tokyo Nonstop. I have to make 25 bowls and 4 larger architectural pieces.

Here are the pieces so far…

Great Lakes Airlines Website

On Monday I found out I was going to be on the cover of Peaks and Plains Great Lakes In-Flight Magazine. But I still haven’t seen the magazine in person. I have seen it in digital form several ways. Here it is on the Peaks and Plains website.

I’m so excited to see the magazine. Maybe this is a big hoax and I’ve fallen for it hook, line and sinker. But for now I’m thrilled to see on their website.
